Upon its release in 2009, Demon’s Souls became one of the greatest, if not the greatest role-playing game of this generation. The jaw-dropping but challenging experience from Atlus received critical as well as commercial acclaim, with over 200,000 copies sold and more sales expected after the game’s upcoming release in Europe. This epic title has been out since October last year, so a price drop has been expected.
Those who haven’t had the opportunity to purchase Demon’s Souls yet have little excuse now, as its price has been slashed from $59.99 to $39.99 at all major retailers. There is no doubt that there will be a positive spike in sales following the debut of this discounted version, and with Europe to receive Demon’s Souls on June 25th, Atlus and Sony can expect a steady flow of well-deserved sales for the beloved PlayStation 3 exclusive.
