Recently, Capcom’s president, Haruhiro Tsujimota, stated that the company is planning to use western developers only for ports and sequels and not new IPs. Now, according to a new podcast, Capcom could be preparing a bombshell announcement at E3 for a sequel which will be developed via western developers.
GameFly editorial director, Garnett Lee, states in his latest podcast, regarding how Capcom believes that they can hand over a sequel to existing franchises for western developers, that E3 will witness an announcement about a sequel from Capcom.
Boy, their E3 bombshell puts that to test. I’m not going to spill it because I don’t want to make anyone mad, but boy their E3 bombshell puts that to test.
It could very well be the announcement of Resident Evil 6 which has already been hinted at or the previously rumored Devil May Cry sequel in development by UK-based developers Ninja Theory.
