Gamers around the world are eagerly anticipating the release of Tomonobu Itagaki’s latest game, Devil’s Third. The game, which was announced last night, was the game which GameTrailers Geoff Keighley claimed was the newest from a “legendary game developer“. Unfortunately, the trailer last night is presumably from an extremely early build, as the word this morning is gamers won’t be seeing this exciting, yet bloody, game anytime soon.
Speaking to Eurogamer, THQ’s Danny Bilson cited the game is roughly 10% completed. Furthermore, anxious gamers will have to wait about two years to get their hands on this title.
“Very roughly – we haven’t announced any kind of date” he said, “but you can imagine it’s roughly two years from now. Roughly.”
So last night’s ‘teaser’ trailer was a ‘teaser’ in the fullest sense of the word. Hopefully THQ can keep a steady stream of media flowing to the game’s newfound fans, as two years from now is quite a long time. If Devil’s Third attends next week’s E3 convention, PSLS will be sure to post impressions of this highly anticipated game.
