Headshots & Friendly Fire: Round 11

Boom! Headshot!!

North Koreans

Think about it. They’re the perfect enemy. They are a group of people brainwashed into following an evil dictator. It’s like a mix between Hitler and Dr. Robotnik. The Nazis were fine for an enemy ten years ago, but now I think it’s time we moved on to a more topical enemy. Mercenaries 1 had North Koreans as the main villain. The background for the story was something along the lines of “They’re North Korean. They’re evil. Go get ’em!” Now that the developers don’t have to worry about the enemy’s actions making sense, they can focus on making the game fun. Warships filled with explosive missiles? Military base at the top of a mountain? Animatronic bears with chain guns for arms? Sure, those North Koreans will do anything.

Bungie Goes Multiplatform

It seems the Bungie developers have escaped from that basement Microsoft was keeping them in. Now they can make whatever game they want. who knows, maybe Bungie will go on to make the greatest dating sim on the market.

Play, Create, Share

This has been a pretty good motto for Sony. Without the whole create aspect, ModNation Racers would just be an average kart racer. Yes the races are fun, but it’s the create aspect that makes Modnation a great game. Some of the best tracks I’ve raced in the game have been user created tracks. It’s also tons of fun to jump in with a group of strangers and race each others creations…and then ridicule each other for putting stupid fire pits everywhere. I’m also amazed at what people have been able to do with the create tool. Sure there are a lot of Marios and A-Team vans, but there is a Monopoly guy and a Monopoly car! I’m not one to get caught up on petty things, but its a MONOPOLY CAR!!! Game of the Year.

E3

HOLY S@%# IT’S E3 TIME!…..that’s all I have to say.
