Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Info Arises From The Darkness, Releases Fall 2010

After many failed attempts, developer Mercury Steam looks to successfully translate the 2D world of Castlevania to consoles this Fall with Castlevania: Lords of  Shadow, with the PS3 version being the lead platform. Not much is known about the game, but all that has changed as official details arises from the darkness.

During their press conference, Konami has unveiled more official details on their upcoming title, Castlevania: Lords of  Shadow. Unveiled by Dave Cox, the game will be arriving this fall.

As seen in this new cinematic trailer, Belmont has been betrayed and forced to enter an area filled with monsters. Ouch, what a betrayal, eh? The game is one third platformer, one third puzzles and one third combat. Oh, that all ads up to one third of awesome.

The game’s bosses combine platforming and combat like GOW titans. The titles’ characters’ animations look as well detailed as Electronic Art’s Dante’s Inferno. The game’s delivered an experience of pure epic proportions, only seen recently in God Of War.

As mentioned, the hotly anticipated title is currently scheduled for Fall 2010.

Konami, Kojima Productions, and Mercury Steam are confident that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will bring 3D Justice to the series when it releases this Fall. Check out the game’s screenshots to get a taste of what to expect.
