Peace Walker Could Sneak its Way Onto PS3

Hideo Kojima has made it clear many times that, although it is on the PSP, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is officially the next Metal Gear Game after Guns of the Patriots. It seems that Kojima himself however, wouldn’t mind if the game was ported up to a home console.

Despite Kojima’s portable masterpiece getting rave reviews, many people still wonder why the PSP was the chosen platform for an “MGS5-class game.” If the game was on PS3, it would benefit from the greater power of the PlayStation Network for online play as well as superior controls with DualShock 3 support. Those aren’t the only ideas however. In a recent interview with French gaming site JeuxVideo, Kojima stated that if he were to make a PS3 version of the game, it would not be a direct port, but in a good way.

I can not say I’ll do a direct conversion of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on Playstation 3. However, this game was a challenge in terms of its development on the PSP for me and I probably will preserve the base of it. And if I had to port it to another console, I would add even more depth to the story.
