Recently, it emerged that Killzone 3 would be receiving the intriguing aspect of a four-player co-op mode. However, the source of the information has confirmed as well as apologizing for the fact that this indeed is not true.
PlayStation Network magazine, FirstPlay – Europe’s equivalent to Qore – stated:
Unfortunately the Killzone 3 preview contains a piece of erroneous information about a four-player co-op mode which isn’t present in the game. It was something that had been rumoured that we mistakenly picked up on as fact. Apologies for that, especially to Guerrilla for whom this has been an annoyance.
All dreams, anticipation, and excitement have been crushed, then. Still, we can still dream of a four-player co-op mode being put in one day.
Killzone 3 is currently scheduled for a release on the PlayStation in February, 2011.
