PixelJunk Racers Takes a Second Lap in Japan

Since the first title in the PixelJunk series of games, PixelJunk Racers, was released, Kyoto-based Q-Games have unleashed hit after hit onto the PlayStation Network. Today, Japan got to take PixelJunk Racers for another spin around the track.

Earlier today on the Japanese PlayStation Store, Q-Games, has released the follow-up to their first PSN release with PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap. This new version clocks in at just 37MB and adds worldwide support for uploading and downloading driver “ghosts”, as well as trophy support and YouTube integration.

This version will run just 500Yen/£3.70, but if you already own the original PJ Racers, then it will cost you a mere 100Yen to upgrade. Those of us in the US and Europe that already own the first lap (I guess we’ll call it that), will get the upgrade for free.

Look for PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap to hit the US and Europe in the coming weeks.
