“LOADING…LOADING…” Many of you die-hard Killzone 2 fans probably have bitter memories as you had your itchy trigger finger at the ready to blast some Helghast soldiers, only to be held back by a 20 – 30 second loading screen. It looks like those infamous loading screens may be a thing of the past.
Thanks to the wonderful advancement of technology, Herman Hulst, Managing Director at Guerrilla Games, came forth with news that Killzone 3 players will no longer have to sit at bay as they wait to bump skulls with their red-eyed enemies.
“We’re excited what the PS3 can do for us and what we can do for it… (speaking of loading screens), literally everything is streamed now.”
How they exactly achieved this, I don’t know, but I do applaud them for pulling off this effort. This will immensely help out with the immersion of the game since you will no longer be forced into periodic breaks as the salvation of mankind hangs in a balance. Between this, 3D inclusion, and the tightening up on the control scheme, Killzone 3 looks like it will be delivering a title greater than its predecessor.
