Bizarre Promises More Blur in Future

For gamers eager to get their hands on a new Blur title, Nick Davies, a producer at Bizarre Creations, has some good news for you. Yup, there will be more titles in the future that will allow you to unleash your inner arcade racer nerd.

Despite lukewarm sales, Davies said in a recent interview that the studio is planning on developing future Blur titles, heralding the first title as “the start of a big franchise for Bizarre”. Citing the release window for the game, which put it up against the ranks of Modnation Racers and Split/Second, Blur did not receive the kind of attention it deserved.

“It came out at the same time as ModNation Racers and Split/Second. It rates incredibly highly and it’s a very popular game, and I think it’s going to be a slow-burner. I think the multiplayer will stay for a long time and I think people will come back to that time and time again, long after some of the other games have gone back to the second-hand shelf” said Davies.

Concluding, Davies claimed it has always been his studio’s goal to make Blur the biggest racing franchise in the market.

“…it’s always been the plan to make the number one racing franchise. That’s as much as I can say!”

It certainly is a shame to see such a low level of interest for Blur, which netted an 8/10 from our own Cameron Teague, calling it “smash mouth fun”.
