Three Times the Tales for PlayStation Platforms

While the PlayStation may have come late to Namco Bandai’s Tales franchise, it looks like it is making up ground with the announcement of three games supposedly in development. Looks like those rumors might be true…

Japanese gaming blog Hachimaki reports that Namco Bandai has plans to release two Tales games on PlayStation 3 and another on PSP. As similar with Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces, now formerly a Wii exclusive, will be receiving an HD makeover some time this winter. The newly dubbed Tales of Graces F will include new special attacks and at least one new outfit. The big news however is that Namco Bandai seems to have a NEW Tales game up its sleeve. No information is known about this new title; it is merely dubbed New Tales. More news will most likely come from TGS later this year.

Not to be left out, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 has also confirmed to be in development and is scheduled for a 2011 release. This spinoff series is more focused on dungeon-crawling rather than a linear story, but features dozens of characters from all of the Tales games over the last 15 years. Unfortunately, the Tales franchise hasn’t seen too much popularity outside of Japan, so even IF an announcement is made, don’t hold your breath for a Western release. It’d be awesome, but probably not that likely.
