XSEED Games’ surprisingly fun RTS/Action RPG/Shoot ‘Em Up Half Minute Hero launched last year for the PSP. Must have done well, at least well enough to warrant a sequel. No, it’s not called Full Minute Hero. We’ll have to see if it makes it out of Japan first to worry about the name.
Currently titled Hero 30 Second, as in Japan the game was simply called Hero 30, the new sequel doesn’t seem to be skimping on any addition of content. Similar to the previous title, Second will take place across five separate acts: Overture, Judgement, Revolution, Ragnarok, and Destiny. Over all of the acts, you can expect to play around 90 different quests.
What happens when you finish all 90? Just go online and download some more of course! Hero 30 Second will not only introduce an editing mode that lets you design your own quests (with detail down to the stage layout), but these homespun quests can be uploaded online for all to enjoy.Another new feature being introduced into Hero 30 Second will ad-hoc multiplayer. Up to four players can join up for an all new mode called Infinite Hero, which pits your skills against an unending horde of demons.
Hero 30 Second is currently scheduled for release in Japan on November 4th of this year. If it ever gets released anywhere else, be sure to stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for it’s undoubtedly funny new name.
