Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood PS3 Beta Dated, But There’s a Catch…

Ubisoft shocked the gaming world when they announced that Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood would feature an online multiplayer mode, a first for the popular next-gen series. Fans weren’t sure what to think, but those fears were put to rest after E3. Fans and non-fans of the series agreed: the online multipler mode for Brotherhood is good… really good. To ensure the best experience possible, the beta is an exclusive for the PlayStation 3 and we have fantastic news… it hits in just over a month from now. However, there is one small catch that even Ezio didn’t some coming..

The only way you can access the Beta is through pre-ordering the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood at your local GameStop…

Ubisoft and Gamestop made the announcement today that starting on August 9th, fans who reserve Brotherhood at any Gamestop in North America, will receive a token to download the beta off PSN. Take note though, as spaces are limited and seeing as how there’s millions of Assassin’s Creeds fans, you might want to hurry! If you pre-ordered it before August 9th (like yours truly did), all you have to do is show your receipt to receive your code.

The beta will feature brand new multiplayer gameplay and will help serve as a ‘stress test’ for the final release this November.  For those who’re lucky enough to get access, the beta begins on September 13th. After being recently named the Best Online Multiplayer Game of E3 2010 by Game Critics Awards, you just might want to get your hands on this baby.

If you don’t believe that Brotherhood’s online mode ‘is the real deal’, just check out Joseph ‘The Coach’ Peterson’s E3 Impressions of it. He entered as a skeptic and walked out as a believer.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood goes for the kill this November. Will you be joining the Brotherhood of Assassin’s or help the Templars rule the world?
