Mediatonic has just announced the team’s second foray into the Mini world with their newest title, Who’s That Flying?!. Releasing as a Mini for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3, Who’s That Flying?! is an exciting side-scrolling shooter with tower defence elements.
Taking control of a mysterious character known only as the “Guardian of Earth”, players are forced to repel the invasion of the planet by the evil Doom Beasts, all the while fending off accusations of “gross incompetence from the Galactic Council of Justice”. Mediatonic’s co-founder and creative director Paul Croft had this to say about the game:
“It’s fantastic to be announcing another title for Sony’s brilliant PlayStation Minis service. WTF was a really interesting game to work on as we tried to combine two very different game mechanics to create something truly unique. It’s quick and fun to pick-up and play and we believe it will appeal to both casual players and hardcore shmup fans alike. We’ve packed a lot of content and personality into the game and we’re really excited about the launch!”.
Who’s That Flying?! will feature an engaging story mode with 15 levels, 4 Infinite modes and 25 unique challenge mode levels. No word on pricing or a solid release date, however.
