When LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 released a few weeks ago, the success for Warner Bros.’ title – although somewhat expected due to the franchise’s successful history – was nothing short of shocking; the colorful game beat off tough competition and took top spot in sales charts worldwide. The game’s success has been echoed once again as it has been confirmed that LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 has shipped a certainly impressive 2.7 million units thus far.
Warner Bros. parent company Time Warner’s recently released their earnings report which confirmed LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 has shipped 2.7 million units. Warner Bros. owned development studio TT Games developed the title which released to positive critical reception. Additionally, Time Warner’s financial earnings also confirmed the continued success of Lego Batman which has sold over 7 million units since its inception in 2007.
So, what’s in store for the hugely successful Lego video game franchise? Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will continue the franchise when it releases sometime next year.
