Recently, LucasArts’ revealed that a demo for their anticipated sequel, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, is on the horizon for both fans and gamers alike. Although an exact release date for a playable demo is yet to be confirmed, it’ll arrive onto the PlayStation Network prior to the game’s October 26th release date.
The demo is described by Joystiq to begin “with returning protagonist Starkiller attempting to escape his cloney confines on Kamino.” He then must “plummet down a tower, avoiding obstacles en route, busts through a giant dome, and then fights his way out of the facility.” Various moves including Force pushes, mind tricks, and force lightning follow as “the Dark Apprentice redux attempts to steal a Tie Fighter and get off the planet .”
In September 2008, the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was released to average critical success garnering lukewarm reviews. But the game’s critical reception didn’t mirror the titles’ commercial success as LucasArts’ game sold over seven million units and counting.
