Sony has announced that in continuing their goal to provide PlayStation Plus subscribers with exclusive offerings and adding more value to the entertainment experience on the ever-growing PlayStation Network, the company will now be offering the PlayStation Protection Plan to subscribers for a discounted price.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will now be able to purchase a two year PlayStation 3 plan for 25% off (PlayStation Plus price $44.99, original price $59.99). The normal PS3 one year plan is $44.99, where as PlayStation Plus members get two years for the price of one. However, keep in mind that in order to qualify for any of the discounted plans, your PlayStation 3 must still be within its one-year original manufacturer’s warranty.
It’s refreshing, especially after all the demands of making more offers to PlayStation Plus members, that Sony are finally stepping it up a notch and offering some enticing incentives with their PlayStation Network premium service. Hopefully they continue to do so as they have promised and PlayStation Plus users reap in great benefits a la discounted PlayStation Protection plans.
For those who are unclear, adding a PlayStation Protection Plan extends your coverage on a single system by 12 or 24 months. For more information on the plan, click here.
