Splash Damage has released Brink’s third video developer diary entitled, “The End of Genre As We Know It”. The crazy shooters’ latest dev diary showcases how the title will link the single-player and multiplayer modes together. The dev dairy shows players can earn experience points in both single-player and multiplayer which you can then use to upgrade characters with extra gear and new weapons.
Brink is a squad-based shooter that was built to incorporate a system called SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain). This particular system allows players to run freely through the game’s environments. The game takes place in a futuristic city off the coast of San Francisco, and players can fight through the game’s entire campaign with either the Resistance or the Security.
Brink is currently scheduled for a delayed release in 2011. Splash Damage recently explained the reasons behind the delay. For more information and coverage on the shooter, be sure to check out PlayStation LifeStyle’s previous coverage.
