Another New DualShock Color Available for Pre-Order, What About a Console to Match?

While the Classic White PS3 Slim was announced for Japan in early July, no news has come for the ethereal console in any other region. The only way to get your own white PS3 is to import one. But is that about to change?

Amazon.com has mysteriously put a “Classic White” DualShock 3 up for pre-order and it is set to ship on October 15th. Why? The Ceramic White DualShock 3 has been available in the US for quite some time. What does this mean? Technically, nothing. As SCEA nor SCEE have not announced anything as of now, the only thing to do is wait. A new bundle announcement next week  is the most likely, as the Tokyo Game Show is the last major video game conference of the year.

Do you think that introducing a new PS3 model is a smart idea right now? With the PS3 Move Bundle launching in less that two weeks, it’ll be confusing to consumers whether to buy a brand new color or the better bundle deal. Unless Kaz Hirai decided to develop a white PlayStation Move and not tell anyone, it seems a little iffy. Tell us your thoughts in the comments below. Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle during TGS next week for all your PlayStation news.
