Here we go again, folks. Game developers, both large and small, have complained over the years about the difficulty of developing for our favorite console of choice, the PlayStation 3. The latest to admit they’ve had PS3 problems? None other than LucasArts, Masters of the Star Wars realm.
LucasArts producer Cameron Suey, discussed the team’s past with CVG, stating the their PS3 skills weren’t “up to speed” when developing the original Force Unleashed and that both the PS3 and 360 builds for the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II are on-par with one another this time around.
There were times, especially on the original Force Unleashed, where on the PS3, we weren’t quite up to speed. But now I think [360 and PS3 are] so hand in hand that every change we make is tested on both at the same time, side-by-side throughout the whole thing.
If Corey’s Hands-on impressions with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II are any indication of the final product, it looks like LucasArts haved used the force to their advantage to learn the ins and out of the almighty PS3.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II strikes back this Fall on October 26th.
