The exclusive PlayStation 3 beta for multiplayer-focused Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood was due to be released today in the US. However, Ubisoft has confirmed the beta has been delayed.
A Ubisoft representative confirmed the delay to Joystiq that the beta has been pushed back. Although, the French publisher failed to state an exact date for when the beta would become available for US PlayStation Network users. More information on the delay is apparently expected to arrive later this week. The European date for the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood beta remains to be October 4th.
The beta trial for the upcoming iteration in the hugely successful Assassin’s Creed franchise will be given to all players who pre-order the game. The beta will include nine inconspicuous character skins, two maps – Rome and Castel Gandolfo as well as two game modes: Wanted and Alliance. Prepare to join the full Brotherhood on the game’s official release date of November 19th, 2010.
