Get Puzzly With Atari’s The UnderGarden

Famed developer and publisher and personal favorite, Atari, announced they will be publishing The UnderGarden, a puzzle exploration experience for gamers who have a passion for solving new-style puzzles. The PlayStation Network title is being developed by Vitamin-G.

The UnderGarden is a described as a casual zen-like game that challenges its players to explore “beautiful underground caverns filled with strange life forms; physics based puzzles and plenty of hidden secrets. The world comes alive and music evolves as players get deeper into the world of The UnderGarden.”

Local co-operative gameplay is also included where players can chill out, work together to solve puzzles and explore the world. The UnderGarden offers 20 different levels of modern exploration filled with brain teasing physics and eco-friendly puzzles that “evoke an emotional response to the beauty and calm of this underwater oasis.”

John Burns, Vice President and General Manager for Atari Europe had this to say on the announcement of The UnderGarden:

“The UnderGardenoffers an imaginative and novel take on the puzzle genre. With its beautiful striking visuals, hypnotic soundtrack and taxing physics puzzles, The Undergarden is a underwater journey of triumphant discovery.”

It’s certainly refreshing to see so much emphasis being put on a PSN title, and personally I cannot wait to get my hands on this. Fair play definitely to Atari and Vitamin-G. The UnderGarden is currently scheduled for a release during Winter. Check out the game’s trailer below.
