Inception Director Wants Video Game Adaptation Within Next Few Years

For those of you that just couldn’t get enough of the smash-hit film Inception, and would love to delve into the dream world via your favorite game console, the film’s director, Christopher Nolan, wants to make your dream of playing a dream… a reality (sounds weird, we know).

Speaking with Variety earlier this week, Nolan stated the following:

“One thing we are looking at doing is developing a video game based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can’t fit into a feature film, that’s something we’ve been talking about and are looking at doing long-term, in a couple of years.”

The mere fact that Nolan is looking to release the game after the film, indicates that there aren’t any deadlines to meet, and may end up resulting in a much better product. With the “inception” of 3D gaming over the past few months along with the release of PlayStation Move, whoever ends up developing the title could surely have a field day in the peripheral and special effects department. We look forward to seeing a potential AAA game based off of a AAA movie, as games based off of movies are often the object of ridicule and overall gaming disgust.

Be sure to stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle, as we’ll be sure to let you know when we hear anything further regarding an Inception console release.
