Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game, the number one selling PlayStation Network game in August, is just about to get even better. No, it may not be online co-op play, but it’s still some great stuff.
What kind of content could the Scott Pilgrim game possibly get you ask? Why, another character of course! For the low, low price $1.99, Scott’s lovestruck girlfriend Knives Chau (17 years old) is the main component of this pack. Not only does she weild her knives (get it?) in battle, but Knives also brings along three new trophies. The pack also includes two new game modes, Dodgeball and Battle Royale. Information about these however, have yet to be seen.
Along with the new character and the modes, a free patch is also in the works. This patch will bring drop in co-op, so you’ll no longer have to beat the level that you’re currently on (or die) to get help from your couchmate. Along with a several bugs being fixed, the difficulty will be tweaked a bit. Average Joe mode will really feel a lot more average, rather than punishingly difficult. You can expect the patch, along with the DLC, in the beginning of November, just in time to coincide with the DVD/Blu-Ray release.
Haven’t played this arcade beat ’em up throwback yet? Shame on you. If you need anymore convincing, check out PlayStation LifeStyle’s review of the game. You won’t regret it.
