Sucker Punch Keeping Single Player as inFamous 2’s Main Focus

You could have fooled us. After last month’s semi-secret ‘leak’ that inFamous 2 would be included in the growing line-up of Move compatible games, we thought official confirmation would be right around the corner.

But speaking at the Eurogamer Expo today, designer over at Sucker Punch Darren Bridges remained mum on the subject. And about 3D and multiplayer? Don’t get your hopes up just yet, the Washington based developer is committed to the basic single player game first and foremost.

“Sony has a lot of great technologies: 3D, Move, multiplayer. We’re looking into all of them,” said Bridges. “The single-player campaign is our main focus and then we’re going to look at those other features and see if they fit in.”

Bridges also talked about some of the features in their new game that will be carried over from inFamous 1. The morality system will be back in inFamous 2.

“It’s going to be a pillar of inFamous 2. We haven’t talked a lot about it yet, but it’s definitely coming back. We want players to have a different experience based on how they play.”

Side missions will also make a return in inFamous 2, with Bridges stating that they are going to be “a big focus for us.” Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for more inFamous 2 inFormation as we get it.
