We are now nearing the holiday season, and as usual, that means another Call of Duty title. This year, Treyarch is behind the warfare with what they are calling the biggest endeavor yet. So much, in fact, that the game now holds the record for being GameStop’s most pre-ordered game of all-time.
According to GameStop, Call of Duty: Black Ops has managed to obtain the highest pre-order count in the history of the company. The previous record lies with last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launch, but Treyarch’s fresh, Cold War-era setting has managed to eclipse those extraordinary numbers nearly four weeks prior to launch.
In celebration of the imminent release of the title, GameStop is holding a Call of Duty: Black Ops Surprize Attack sweepstakes including prizes such as the Prestige Edition, controllers, and more, each of which will be given away in 24-hour intervals. All that is needed to apply is either a receipt of pre-order or an online confirmation code which implies that the sweepstakes is only available to those who have pre-ordered through GameStop.
