Uncharted Movie Much Closer to Reality

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune has all the makings of a great movie. In fact, a complete script has already been written to adapt the game into a motion picture. However, talks fizzled earlier this year in securing a director for the film. That appears to not be the case anymore, and we are one step closer to seeing Nathan Drake on the silver screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, David O. Russell has closed a deal to write and direct Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, which will be an adaptation for the first game in this popular series. As we reported back in May, Sony and Mr. Russell were originally talking about creating a movie version of the hit game, but things fell apart. Things seem to have changed, however, and the movie has essentially been given the green light. Avi Arad, Charles Roven and Alex Gartner are also onboard to help produce the movie. No cast members nor a release date have been decided upon yet, but rest assured as soon as PlayStation LifeStyle learns these details you can read about it here!
