Publisher Electronic Arts has officially announced the demo for their upcoming racer, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, and has also given details as to what the playable demo will entail.
The demo – which will be released with tomorrow’s PlayStation Store update and will be available until November 9th – sees players utilizing Need for Speed’s social network, Autolog. You can play alone against the demo’s AI or invite a friend to join, and unlock a second track in the demo; once players add a friend to their Need for Speed friends list, the second event will unlock entitled Roadster’s Reborn, where players can compete as racers to set the best times.
The demo will also give players the chance to chase as a cop in the Dark Horse Hot Pursuit event, which is held in Seacrest County. Additionally, EA also said that by downloading and playing the demo you’ll earn 500 bounty award points in the full game for both Cop and Racer careers.
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is currently scheduled for a November 19th, 2010 release. For more on the game and ‘Autolog‘ be sure to check out PlayStation LifeStyle’s Hot Pursuit interview.
