British developer Blitz has praised Polyphony Digital’s forthcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive racing sim Gran Turismo 5, with the studio saying the racer is gaming’s version of James Cameron’s Avatar.
Seeing the game running in full 3D, the studio’s head Andrew Oliver stated the game is “a major step forward” for the industry as well as delivering praise for the title. Speaking in the latest issue of Esquire UK, Oliver said:
“I’ve seen Gran Turismo 5 running in 3D and it’s stunning. It is a major step forward. It’s gaming’s Avatar.”
Blitz created the world’s first Stereoscopic 3D console title, Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao. Gran Turismo 5, meanwhile, has yet to receive a solid release date after its delay.
