GT Academy Returns to Race on SPEED and PSN

A year ago, Polyphony Digital announced their reality show driving school, GT Academy. Several months later, competitors fought to become the ultimate real life driver on the UK program. Now, Polyphony Digital is at it again and has announced a second season of GT Academy, but this time with the final version of Gran Turismo 5.

The competitive GT Academy will be returning since Luca Lorenzini and Jordan Tresson won earlier in the year. This time around, 32 of the top US racers in Gran Turismo 5 will have a shot at making the cut and racing for a spot on the Nissan racing team. Similar to last season, all major events during the GT Academy will be recorded and then televised on both the SPEED channel and PlayStation Network.

With Gran Turismo 5 just around the corner, everyone has a few weeks to hone their skills in order to compete in this rewarding event. To participate, be sure to pick up a copy of Gran Turismo 5 on November 24th, read the official rules, and then register on the Gran Turismo website once registration becomes available on December 6th, 2010.

Happy racing!
