Earlier this year, Crystal Dynamics released Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which took the classic Tomb Raider style in a new direction. There were some initial concerns, but ultimately many felt that it was an excellent game, and it seemed like Tomb Raider was headed back to its glory days. Now it looks like Crystal Dynamics is preparing a full reboot of the series.
Earlier today, Gameinformer revealed their January cover story, which shows off a brand new Tomb Raider game, simply titled Tomb Raider. The game will introduce a younger, inexperienced Lara Croft and the physical and emotional trauma she endures to survive.
Crystal Dynamics had this to say about the reboot:
