Dead Space 2 Demo Set for Deployment

Since Dead Space 2’s announcement, gamers have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to step back into the shoes of Isaac Clarke, a space engineer and the protagonist from the first Dead Space. EA has claimed that not only will Dead Space 2 be bigger and better, but also scarier. For those that just can’t bare to wait any longer, EA is offering up an early Christmas gift.

Announced today, gamers will be able to get a taste of Dead Space 2 when EA releases the demo on December 21st, 22nd in Europe. The demo will give gamers an opportunity to explore the Church of Unitology, as well as deal with a whole new Necromorph outbreak on the Sprawl. You’ll also have access to a batch of new weapons and tools, including the new Javelin gun, updated stasis recharge mechanic and enhanced telekinesis ability, as well as an all new suit equipped with jets that will allow Isaac full 3600 control in Zero-G space.

Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer of the Dead Space franchise, had this to say why they chose the holiday to release the demo.

“The holidays are a great time to enjoy all forms of entertainment, and we can’t wait to give horror and action adventure gamers a taste of what awaits them in Dead Space 2. Releasing the demo five weeks before launch will not only re-connect players with our hero Isaac Clarke, but will also give them the opportunity to experience firsthand various jaw-dropping scenarios. It’s gonna be awesome”

What a great way to spend the holidays… shaking in your winter boots in fear.
