Both BioWare and Electronic Arts have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming release of Mass Effect 2 on the PlayStation 3, which is scheduled to hit store shelves January 18, 2011 in North America and January 21, 2011 in Europe. The game will launch with several downloadable packs included for free for PS3 owners, that are currently available for purchase on the Xbox 360 version. And for those worried that they will not understand what is going on within the game, this version of the title will feature a 15 minute “introductory module” that will bring gamers up to speed.
Earlier today, BioWare tweeted that Mass Effect 2 for the PlayStation 3 has officially gone gold. Those patiently waiting for this title to hit store shelves only have a bit longer to wait. The full tweet is below.
