The release date to the former Xbox 360 exclusive, Mass Effect 2, is drawing closer for PlayStation 3 owners. There have been multiple reports that the game itself looks better on the PS3. Considering Bioware’s reputation, gamers can expect a solid game that will deliver. In the end there is actually a reason that this game looks better on the PS3 over the 360.
During a recent Bioware podcast the producer of the PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2 Jesse Houston had this to say on the upcoming title:
“We’ve actually created the engine for Mass Effect 3 and use that to make Mass Effect 2 PS3. So we took the content and the story and all the other assets that made up Mass Effect 2 and we put them in the Mass Effect 3 engine. And that‘s what we are actually delivering.”
The game actually just went “gold” so gamers will be able to see these improvements for themselves on their own consoles when it releases.
