Over the past few years, if you visited any message board and looked at gamers lists of most anticipated games, L.A. Noire would likely be near the top of many lists, and this was with minimal information on the title. So with new videos and screenshots being released over the past few weeks, it should be no surprise that the hype is at an all-time high. Looking to increase the hype even more, Rockstar has finally given us a release date.
Even though there was a leak of the trailer that included the release date over the weekend, gamers have waited for confirmation from Rockstar, and today we got it. L.A. Noire will finally be hitting store shelves May 17th in North America, and May 20th in Europe.
L.A. Noire looks to bring video games one step closer to real life with the use of a brand new technology, MotionScan. Using 32 high-definition cameras, MotionScan capture every detail of an actor’s face. This will present players with never before seen facial animation that can capture the smallest nuances, and even give players the ability to read the in-game characters lips.
Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, had this to say about the upcoming crime thriller:
“L.A. Noire breaks new ground for us. Its intense blend of action and real detective work defies genre conventions to create a unique and captivating thriller.”
Check out L.A. Noire when it releases in May.
