Dragon Age II Has Enough Cutscenes for a Movie

Dragon Age II is due to release in just over a month now. Some new information about the game has surfaced, and it reveals that the upcoming sequel has enough cutscene footage to create a feature film with.

A recent sighting on the BBFC ratings website has revealed that Dragon Age II has “linear segments” or cutscenes which run for a total time of 103 minutes. That is 13 minutes beyond what would normally be considered a full-length feature film of 90 minutes. It’s clear that developer BioWare intends on players experiencing certain events in the game’s plot in a pre-determined manner, however it is possible many of these cutscenes are simply altered versions of the same scene played out based on how the player has acted up until that point in the story.
