BioShock Creator: No New Consoles Please

There has been a lot of speculation throughout the media and amongst gamers that the next generation of consoles is close to becoming reality. While many gamers might desire a new Sony console, some developers are not ready to start over again.

During the official podcast for Irrational Games, Ken Levine of Bioshock fame had this to say about possible new hardware.

“At this point I have no desire as a developer and zero desire as a gamer to see the next generation come out from where I’m sitting right now.”

These echo recent comments made by THQ’s Danny Bilson,

“It still costs us a fortune to make games on this platform. If they’re going to up the scale, up the art, up the content, I don’t know how to make that and sell it to anybody for under $100 a game. Who wants to do that? It’s bad for everybody.”

So do you want a PS4 right now? Personally I would much rather see Sony expand even further on the PS3 which has plenty of life left in it. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
