The best reason to buy a Move controller in 2011, Sorcery is the only AAA game in development for Sony’s motion controller – at least that’s been announced. Revealed during last year’s E3, little was known about the title other than the fact that it was being developed from the ground up for the peripheral. At this year’s GDC, Sony has released a fact sheet with new info on the plot and game types in Sorcery.

The Nightmare Queen has broken the ancient pact with mankind and threatens to cover the land in eternal night. As a young sorcerer’s apprentice, it is up to the player to master the arcane arts and fight back the Queen’s foul minions. Sorcery puts the power in the players’ hands using the PlayStation Move motion controller and letting them conjure and command powerful magic as they brave the deep dark world of the Faerie Kingdoms.
Along their journey, players will encounter a multitude of enemies, solve ingenious puzzles, mix and create unique potions, learn and craft new spells, and heal a broken world. With over 12 upgradeable spells, hundreds of unique potions and countless items to discover and collect, Sorcery immerses players in a unique fantasy story like never before.
Utilizing the PlayStation Move motion controller and PlayStation®Eye camera, players can get up-close to the action steeped in Irish folklore tradition, and experience the magical adventure with Sorcery.
