Batman: Arkham City Campaign Length Revealed

The brilliant Batman: Arkham Asylum gave gamers something they’d never thought they would see: a decent Batman video game. And indeed it was a brilliant title from Rocksteady Studios. The campaign length in particular offered up to 12 to 15 hours, and that’s excluding all the extra challenges that players can partake in. Developer Rocksteady has now revealed how long it takes to complete the sequel’s campaign.

Players will be able to complete the campaign of Batman: Arkham City in eight hours if they rush through it like a QA tester. Rocksteady’s marketing game manager Dax Ginn discussed the matter with CVG:

It’s very difficult to put a number on. I can tell you that our QA guys, who are ninjas and obviously know everything in the game, can do just the core story missions, nothing else, in about eight hours, just straight-lining.

Ginn continued:

And they know exactly where to go what to do – the most efficient way of doing it. So, someone who has no idea what to do and wants to complete everything it’s going to be significantly more than that.

Batman: Arkham City was recently given a release date; the highly anticipated sequel will be released in the US on October 18th, 2011 and three days later for Europe.
