If there’s one game worth your attention in the coming months, L.A. Noire would be a top candidate for that spot. The quality presented in the title was readily apparent during our recent journey to PAX, and learning that the game will take 25-30 hours to complete was one of the biggest shockers in recent memory. The game looks so good, in fact, that I’ve been interested in a collector’s edition, but a response by Rockstar just killed that idea.
A staff member at the Rockstar Games blog has shared the unfortunate truth regarding any collector’s edition for L.A. Noire. The comment states:
“There won’t be any special edition release of L.A. Noire, just the preorder bonus content with certain retailers…”
He continued:
“Also as mentioned, all that content will be made available as DLC after the game comes out.”
Well that’s a shame. But hey, as long as the title doesn’t get delayed, I’m happy. The pre-order bonuses for L.A. Noire are pretty fancy, so if you are excited as I am for this gangster title, then pre-order from one of the participating retailers before the game comes out in April.
