Sony Fights to Resuscitate the PlayStation Network

For several days now, many PlayStation 3 users have been experiencing issues with the PlayStation Network, particularly with log-in issues. Sony has been hard at work to fix the issues since the network went down April 20th, this past Wednesday. Now it looks as if we have some more information to shed some light on the problems that Sony has been dealing with.

This is what the PlayStation Blog had to say on the “external intrustion” :

“In order to conduct a thorough investigation and to verify the smooth and secure operation of our network services going forward, we turned off PlayStation Network & Qriocity services on the evening of Wednesday, April 20th. Providing quality entertainment services to our customers and partners is our utmost priority. We are doing all we can to resolve this situation quickly.”

Sony is taking flak for taking so long to address the issues, but there’s no doubt that their doing everything in their power to restore the PSN to a steady, working experience. Now all we have to do is wait patiently for the problems to be fixed. Be sure to stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for more updates on the status of the PlayStation Network.
