SOCOM 4 Lead Designer Heading to a New Company

SOCOM 4 released last week, though the online portion of the game is currently dead in the water as the PlayStation Network is still down. It appears developer Zipper Interactive has recently said goodbye to one of the lead designers for the game as he leaves for a new position.

Senior Community Manager for Zipper Interactive Jeremy Dunham recently tweeted that Lead Designer Travis Steiner has left the company, opting for a start-up:

@JMcL07 Yes it is true. Travis has left to help found a new start-up company. He wanted to finish S4 first before leaving, though.

No name has been given for this new start-up, but given that Mr. Steiner had been with Zipper Interactive for over eight years prior to this move we can assume this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for him, and wish him the best of luck at the new startup. Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for any more developments from the still unnamed company.
