Over the years, we’ve seen numerous titles affiliated with Rockstar Games that have defied the laws of world map size. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas stupefied the gaming industry with its massive areas, full of activities, missions and environment variety, while Red Read Redemption transitioned that size to the current generation with its expansive world that could intimidate the likes of the Mojave Desert. Below is the first official glimpse of the world that L.A. Noire will present us with:
The above image is small, but it’s an official image provided by the game’s publisher, Rockstar Games. Depending on how you look at it, you may find that it’s not as big as you might have hoped, but Rockstar has stated in the past that the map will be eight square miles in size, making it roughly twice the size of Grand Theft Auto III, while providing much higher detail. With that said, some users are worried that the game might be too linear, and we won’t know for sure until the game comes out next month, but if the latest gameplay trailer is any indication, that shouldn’t be a problem.
