2k Games have just announced a release date for their upcoming dark and dangerous shooter, The Darkness II. Gamers can return to control Jackie Estacado and his two tentacles this October, just make sure you stay out of the light.
It has been two years since Jackie last used his powers and is now a Don in control of the Estacado family. His powers don’t seem to like this and Jackie is thrown in the middle of a mob war and now must travel to hell and back to unravel the mysteries of why his powers have returned. When we talked with Lead Designer Tom Galt at GDC, we learned of new ways to use your demon arms and more on the battle of light and dark in the game.

The Darkness II releases October 7th in North America and October 10th in Europe.
