L.A. Noire isn’t even out yet, but that hasn’t stopped a certain retailer from advertising a code give away for the first DLC pack of the new game.
The highly anticipated crime thriller is slated to release tomorrow, and there’s no doubt that plenty of fans are waiting hungrily to get their hands on Team Bondi’s enormous project. L.A. Noire is supposedly massive, requiring an entire single layer Blu-ray disc to fit all the content, and over a campaign lasting over 25 hours. Of course, if the game turns out to be as good as it looks, players will be left craving more. Apparently BestBuy has got the goods when it comes to extra game length, since they’re already advertising codes for the first DLC pack of the game, entitled ‘Nicholson Electroplating’ Arson Case. Their ad states that the first 16 customers to purchase L.A. Noire at the midnight opening will receive a code for content, as you can see below.
So why is this in the rumor bin? Good question. VG247 called up Rockstar and asked about the content, but were given the usual “No comment on rumour or speculation. If there’s anything that we need to announce, we will always do it officially ourselves”, leaving us to wonder why there seems to be a discrepancy here. If you’re not willing to take your chances with BestBuy’s midnight launch, there’s still limited time to place a pre-order at GameStop or Wal-mart, each of which have their own bonus cases as a reward. You could also go the money saving route, and head over to Amazon to grab some bonus funding towards another game. Either way, time is running out, so hurry up, decide, and let us know what choice you made!
