The PlayStation 3 will be receiving it’s very first Rune Factory game in North America, as publisher Natsume has announced that it will be bringing the game stateside. Originally released in Japan this past February as Rune Factory: Oceans, the game will see a name change to Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny and will be releasing on the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.
Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume talked with Siliconera about the game:
We know our loyal fans have been patiently awaiting news of a North American release for Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, so we are thrilled to announce that the latest entry in the fan-favorite series is on its way. Better still, this entry is coming to both the Wii and PlayStation 3. Featuring a vast region to explore, a wonderful cast of characters, and a huge variety of activities to enjoy, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is sure to make waves!
Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny will follow Aden and Sonja as they sail oceans, fight enemies, and keep on top of their crops. The game will be on display at the E3 Expo next month and will be releasing later this year.
