The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut Announced For PS3

SEGA has announced that The House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut is currently in development for the PlayStation 3. The game will support full HD, as well as 3D and PlayStation Move support.

The remastered shooter (originally released on the Nintendo Wii) will put players in a mutant outbreak in Bayou County, where the game’s location is based. SEGA also said that all seven stages of the original Wii release will be included, as well as two new scenarios.

Trophies for The House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut will be present. SEGA said that new game modes and new content will be included in the title, too.

SEGA’s Gary Knight said:

The House of the Dead: OVERKILL – Extended Cut for the PlayStation 3 system will send players to the shrieking mad heart of mutant mayhem. This time we went further, faster and bloodier than before. We extended everything, even the title.

The House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut is currently scheduled for a release on October 25th in North America and the game will be shooting its way into European territories on October 28th. More on the game will be unveiled during E3, SEGA said.
