New Battlefield 3 Gameplay Shows Why Frostbite 2 Will Pressure Call of Duty

Electronic Arts had been teasing gamers with snippets of Battlefield 3 gameplay footage, followed by a 12 minute video of pure gameplay. DICE, meanwhile, has treated fans to some more new gameplay of the forthcoming shooter in a behind the scenes video.

New gameplay footage of Battlefield 3 has managed to find its way into a behind the scenes video of DICE’s studio. Included in the video – apart from the fresh gameplay – there are numerous interviews from the studio behind the hotly anticipated shooter, which is planned to go head to head with Activision’s Modern Warfare 3.

The footage, released by EA for their “PWNED” series, gives an insight into the much-talked about Frostbite 2 engine. The video also talks about the third installment’s maps and how they will evolve in the shooter. Check it out below:

Battlefield 3 is rumored for a release on November 2nd, which may very well be true. EA have talked a lot about the game competing with 2011’s Call of Duty game so with Modern Warfare 3‘s November 8th release date, the rumored released of November 2nd is indeed palpable.
