Insomniac Games has announced that their first PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game will finally be unveiled during this year’s E3. The title will be shown at publisher EA’s press conference.
The Resistance creator unveiled the news via their official Twitter account. A tweet read:
We are excited to reveal our brand new universe and game during the EA Press Conference on Monday, 12:30 PDT, on Spike.
Last year, Insomniac Games decided to join EA Partners, which meant that the studio signed an agreement to create a multiplatform title. Many Insomniac fans had questioned the company’s decision to develop a non-PlayStation exclusive game after 16 years working with Sony. Ted Price addressed such concerns by stating the reason to join EA and create a new “universe” is to reach out to a larger audience, which is what they ultimately wanted to do.
Ted Price assured PlayStation 3 fans, however, that the company have not deserted their long relationship with Sony and are fully focused on creating and continuing stellar franchises on the PlayStation 3, including Resistance 3 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.
