Sonic Generations was high on the list of games many of us wanted to see at E3. After playing through the demo provided, we all agreed that this was one of the best Sonic games in years–as echoed by our own Max Murray in his E3 preview. While previews are nice, nothing beats playing the game yourself…and now is your chance.
Sega has announced that tomorrow, Sonic Generations will arrive on the PSN as a playable demo, but will only be available for a total of 20 days. It will expire on July 12th and, similar to some other demos, will cease to be playable on the PS3. Players will be able to try the entire 1st Act of Green Hill Zone in classic play mode. Owners of 3D televisions will be pleased to know that the demo will also be presented in 3D—exactly as it was at E3. Unfortunately, with the PlayStation Store still down in Japan, gamer’s in Sonic’s homeland may not be able to get the demo before it expires.
If you’re a Sonic fan, and have an extra 664 MB free on your hard drive, be sure to take full advantage of the next 20 days.
